SiteScout is a Demand Side Platform (DSP) that plugs into large ad exchanges/Supply Side Platforms (SSPs) (i.e. Rubicon, OpenX, Pubmatic etc) and makes their publisher inventory available to customers through a transparent and manageable interface. Each time an impression becomes available on one of the exchanges it is available to users of SiteScout via an auction/bidding model. When an impression becomes available, users on SiteScout bid on that impression. The winning bid will be placed on the exchange, and the winning advertiser to bid against other DSPs on that exchange. If that advertiser has the highest bid, the impression will be delivered.
